On the occasion of World Cancer day observation, cancer awareness programs were organized for the members of Self Help Groups throughout Hosadurga. Focusing on the World Cancer Day theme, “Close the Care Gap” awareness about the vast difference in cancer care and prevention that people from different sections of society can avail was given as people with low income, lack of educational qualifications, and disabilities face considerable barriers in availing care for cancer. The various aspects that lead to cancer were also highlighted as a preventive measure.
